The FTC’s new older-consumer fraud report separates reported losses from estimates and shows where a pause can interrupt costly impersonation scams. October 21, 2026 · Official-source analysis Older Americans reported more than $3 billion in fraud losses in 2025. A pause before an urgent transfer can matter more than guessing whether a caller sounds convincing. 01 / Evidence and action A smaller share of reports, a disproportionate loss The most important finding in the Federal Trade Commission’s new older-consumer fraud report is not simply that losses rose. It is that a relatively small set of very large losses now accounts for most of the money older Americans report losing. That changes the practical question. Recognizing an obvious junk message is useful, but interrupting a believable emergency before a large transfer can matter much mo...

Compare U.S. trims, wheel-dependent fuel economy and the price beyond MSRP. A luxury SUV shopping decision can become an argument about horsepower before anyone has checked the passenger seat. The gasoline-powered 2026 Genesis GV70 offers a more useful experiment: its four-cylinder range can deliver much of the cabin equipment associated with an expensive six-cylinder vehicle, while the V6 range adds a different mechanical proposition. ...

August U.S. Inflation Reaccelerates as Gasoline Shock Squeezes Households

U.S. Economy · Inflation September 2026 August U.S. Inflation Reaccelerates as Gasoline Shock Squeezes Households Consumer prices rose 0.4% in August, sharply faster than July, as gasoline and broader energy costs drove much of the monthly increase. OCTOBER 19, 2026 · POLICY & PUBLIC SERVICES CURRENT EXPERIENCE Information and guidance A conversation is not an application receipt. LIVE SITE’S FORWARD LOOK Early 2027 previews Expanded transactions remain service-specific promises. America.gov presents a deceptively simple proposition: describe what you need from government instead of first figuring out which agency owns the problem. That is an appealing change for anyone who has followed a chain of federal links, encountered unfamiliar program names, or discovered that an account on one website does not finish a task on another. But a better front door and a completed public service are different achievements. The distinction matters now, while the government is promoting a functioning information service alongside a much broader set of future transactions. As inspected on...
